A hunter seeking vengeance for his wife’s murder tracks an alpha werewolf to its den only to find the tables turned making him the hunted.

Film Script | Short | Horror

EXT. HILLTOP – NIGHT

STERN, 36, scruffy, stands on a hilltop overlooking a small village. Snow-flurries whip across the landscape.

He gazes at a silver pendant in his hand and clinches his fist around it until dark, crimson blood PITTER-PATTERS onto the ivory snow.

FADE TO:

INT. CABIN – NIGHT – FLASHBACK

Hinges hang from an empty doorway. Stern enters axe in hand.

STERN
Autumn?

His eyes search the dark room pausing on AUTUMN, 27, golden- red hair. She lies motionless on the floor blood pooling around her head.

STERN (CONT’D)
Autumn!

He drops the axe, rushes to her side, and scoops her into his arms. Bestial bite marks ooze vital fluids from her neck.

He attempts to stanch the flow of blood, but the blood flows stronger. His lips begin to quiver when a noise startles him.

STERN (CONT’D)
Who’s there?

He grabs his axe and scans the room.

A shadow rushes past him and lands on the windowsill.

STERN (CONT’D)
WHO’S THERE!

Glowing green eyes narrow in the darkness.

His grip tightens around the axe handle; his knuckles burn white.

A guttural howl erupts from the green eyed beast as it escapes through the window.

END FLASHBACK

Stern release his grip on the pendant, wipes the blood on his chest, and trudges toward the small village.

FADE TO BLACK.

OVER BLACK.

The sound of CLINKING glasses, GRUFF voices, CRACKLING firewood.
