My short time with Evolve Big Alpha left me wanting for more storyline even more so than Destiny, but at least I knew going in the main focus of this game was the multiplayer aspect. First and foremost, you either play as a team of hunters or a monster. Each are trying to destroy the other with the hunters protecting a generator on the map and the monster trying to destroy it after evolving to stage three.

5 AM and Star Gazing

It’s early for a weekend. The dogs have been let out to relieve themselves and my wife has triumphed over another middle-of-the-night-blow-out diaper. My youngest daughter, Echo, sits in my lap as I write this. She is mesmerized by the screen but not tired enough to go back to sleep. Stephanie snores next to me unaware of my twitching fingers.

Well, I turned in my last assignment for my BFA in Creative Writing last night, and I can honestly say that it feels like the world has lifted from my shoulders and opened up in front of me. It’s like my entire body sighed all at once, and then I realized I can finally hunker down on those huge projects that have been on the back burner for so long… Welcome back, World! I saved you a seat on my shoulders just in case you decided to return.

It’s okay. Life wouldn’t be worth much if you didn’t have personal goals to achieve or surpass. The past two-and-a-half years
